Every decision we make is a conscious one whether we would like to admit it or not. It’s hard to face our own shortcomings when we know that’s “not us”. While our decisions do not always reflect our character, it’s part of it. Seeing reality for what it truly is can be devastating if we let it takeover our thoughts. We can run from accountability with others but can we run away from ourselves? Ultimately, when we fail to see how we show up in the world and the impact we have on others - we hurt ourselves. Tiny cuts. White lies. We are better than letting society convince us we’re here for selfish reasons. If we can’t be real with one another, how do we expect to have a healthy environment for anyone in this world?
