Assimilating to what everyone else does takes away from our unique perspective and value we bring to the human experience. We think we can “fit” in and we aren’t above any place we enter. What we fail to see when we just want to “fit” in is that we were never meant to. Why would we want to fit somewhere where we aren’t appreciated? Life isn’t meant to make us miserable or sad but it’s easy to get complacent. Going through the motions is easy but being intentional in our lives will set us on another path we could have never imagined. We have to trust in ourselves more than anyone. “This is me - nice to meet you.”
