“Cut from a different cloth” (Original)
Acrylic spray paint + paint marker on canvas
Dec 2019
We are attracted to our tribe. Sometimes we think we have so much in common and we discount moments between us that seem “off”. When someone agrees with something that you dismiss as “not okay” and they start to make excuses for why it could be “okay”. When we see someone take advantage of another, we give our friend the benefit of the doubt because of XYZ. We fail to see who they truly are vs who we think they are. Sometimes it comes down to not being cut from the same cloth. We may seem alike but we may be far from it underneath. We can’t let ourselves become blind to reality because we’re so caught up in seeing what we want to see in others. Actions speak louder than any words. Staying true to ourselves and our beliefs will help us attract who is destined to stay in our lives. We are not all cut from the same cloth.
