"Breaking my own heart"

Loving ourselves and discovering what we enjoy is essential to loving someone else. There is never truly a great time to meet and fall in love. Sometimes we meet people who aren't ready for us. Meeting when you're on opposite ends of the healing journey - it hurts. We want to explore yet we know it only digs the hole deeper. We may miss the people who are open to our love if we spend all our time pursuing those who aren't ready to receive. Breaking our own heart is the risk we take either way.
